United Staffing Associates is seeking a skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance and administrative functions of a large property. This role blends hands-on maintenance with technical and organizational tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently and as part of a team while performing maintenance, tracking projects, and assisting management with reporting, RFPs, and maintenance planning using MS Word and Excel.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Support the Facilities Manager with maintenance scheduling, project tracking, and inventory management

- Use MS Word & Excel to prepare RFPs, update inventory, maintain master maintenance schedules, and document ongoing projects

- Regularly inspect facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure safe and proper operation

- Perform light maintenance and repairs: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general facility upkeep

- Maintain outdoor and landscaped areas, including trimming, irrigation, and groundskeeping

- Conduct minor masonry, paver, or stucco repairs as needed

- Safely operate maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and power tools

- Keep storage and tool areas organized

- Follow all safety protocols and report facility or equipment concerns promptly

- Participate in weekly meetings and provide occasional on-call support for emergencies

Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in facility maintenance, repair, or related trades

- Experience with landscaping, irrigation, and general grounds care

- Proficient in MS Word & Excel

- Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and irrigation systems

- Strong organizational and communication skills; high attention to detail

- Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety and quality

- Ability to operate maintenance tools, vehicles, and small machinery

- Familiarity with masonry, concrete, or paver work preferred

- Valid driver’s license preferred

Schedule:

Part-time with flexible hours between 9:00am–4:30pm, on variable days Monday–Friday
