Payroll Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in our Construction/Contractor industry-based team in Spring Valley, California. This role involves managing and processing payroll, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records. This position is supporting with certified payroll and prevailing wage. This is an immediate contract opportunity in Spring Valley. Responsibilities: Taking lead on the review and processing of certified payroll reports Ensuring the proper classification of workers and correct payment of prevailing wages Collaborating with the payroll team and management to resolve any discrepancies Maintaining thorough and accurate payroll documentation Regularly auditing payroll records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Correcting incomplete payroll data for past months and updating records Utilizing various accounting software systems including ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Dayforce for efficient payroll processing Performing tasks related to 401k - RRSP Administration and benefit functions Ensuring proficiency in auditing and accounting functions Working independently to meet deadlines and handle customer inquiries efficiently.Requirements Proficiency in accounting software systems Experience with ADP Financial Services Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now Proficiency in using Ceridian and Dayforce Knowledge in 401k and RRSP administration Experience with About Time software Ability to perform accounting functions Experience in auditing tasks Familiarity with benefit functions Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
