Uni-Fab Industries has opened a 2nd manufacturing facility in Mountain House, directly across the freeway from Tracy. We are looking for highly motivated employees to join our manufacturing team. UFI is a rapidly growing manufacturing company with our main facility in Fremont.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Vertical Milling only (currently, at this time)
Set/up and run complex parts
Run multiple machines at a time
Maximize setups to run proficiently
Understanding the proper care of all cutting tools.
Technical Background: (Required Skillset)
3-5 years experience doing own Set-Ups
Understanding speeds and feeds of materials and cutters.
Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
Proficient with the use of measuring tools and equipment.
Familiar with the setup and operation of the precision saw.
Familiar all cutting tools and their proper use.
Understand and follow Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance standard (GD&T).
Understanding and knowledge of different materials (CRS, SST, Alum, plastics, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE OF:
Materials - Steel, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, and Copper
Trade tools, equipment, materials, Calipers, tape measure, methods
Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires bending, squatting, reaching.
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds
Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity.
