Experienced Outside Sales Representative wanted to demonstrate and sell utility locators, pipe inspection cameras and water leak detection equipment offered by WCT Products to existing and new customers in their sales territory. WCT Products is a family-owned company located in Marina del Rey that has been in business since 1980.

On-the-job training is provided for 3-5 weeks. Compensation will be base pay plus commission for average compensation of $75,000 - $110,000 per year with unlimited potential. A laptop will be provided after the training period is completed. A vehicle stipend and gas card will be provided after the training period.

A successful candidate will like working with people, meeting customer needs and expectations, and be able to work independently and with the Inside Sales team to complete orders. Additionally, a strong work ethic, exceptional listening skills, integrity, and a desire for high commission are necessary to thrive in this position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads. Some cold calling is required however a solid base of customers will also be provided.

Communicate with customers and leads in the territory assigned to identify and understand the customer needs and suggest products to meet those needs.

Demonstrate the functions of products to customers based on the customer’s needs.

Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication, training and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post-sale with help/guidance from the Inside Sales team.

Maintain communication with existing customers, alerting them of new products or enhancements that may be of interest.

Maintain record of sales activities including calls/emails, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor

relationship problems.

Must be able to perform presentations in front of groups of customers and, periodically, at trade shows.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to function independently and with the Inside Sales team when needed.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, email) or related software and be able to learn new programs that interface with the equipment that we sell.

Clean driving record.

Pass background check.

Pass drug screening.

Experience:

At least three years of sales experience required.

Knowledge of utility locators, pipe inspection cameras and/or water leak detection is a plus but not required.

An understanding of Sub-Surface Construction and Infrastructure is helpful.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

Must be able to travel. Salesman use their own Truck or SUV (must be able to transport demo equipment in a secure manner), A Stipend of $400/mo is provided for vehicle.

Territory:

Southern California, specifically Northern section of LA County, High Desert, Ventura, Santa Barbara County and portions of San Bernardino & Riverside County.
