Experienced with technical delivery of asset management projects for the water and wastewater utility industry. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of industry-accepted asset management tools and techniques including asset management planning and gap assessments, asset inventory, condition and consequence-of-failure assessments, life-cycle cost analysis, O&M programs, and capital investment planning

Supports the development and implementation of asset management plans and programs, including various combinations of client education, strategic planning, service level objectives, and risk modeling

Must be able to evaluate utilities’ asset management activities, including asset inventories, technology support criticality, condition and remaining useful life, repair and renewal needs, and cost projections

Must be able to provide recommendations for improved operations and maintenance practices, as well as supporting technology to minimize asset life cycle costs

Experienced with the development of service levels, performance measures, and business process improvement initiatives

Collaborates with others to analyze utilities’ operational business processes and decision support system solutions. Performs consulting tasks associated with business process analysis, asset registers/inventories, criticality, condition assessment, and repair and renewal needs

Must be able to perform analysis of large utility GIS, maintenance, data collection tools, or condition assessment databases to support inspection, condition assessment, and planning programs

Must be able to support the selection and deployment of utility-specific information technology applications, especially enterprise asset and maintenance management systems (EAMS/CMMS) and complementary technologies (e.g., GIS, CCTV, mobile, business intelligence, condition analytics, and capital project management)

Must be able to improve the effectiveness of asset management technology support with master plans, business process improvement, data integration, and associated technology applications

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration

10 years of utility asset management experience executing listed reponsibilities

Understanding of water and wastewater operations

Must have strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

Ability to manage projects to adhere to scope, schedule and budget

Excellent communication skills related to business, project team coordination and project team building. Comfortable with direct client interaction, workshops and varying levels of client staff

Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business (MBA)

Pay Range$115,000 to $180,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
