Description We are looking for a Consumer Market Researcher in the retail sector, based in Westlake Village, California. This role focuses on leading and overseeing the Consumer Market Research program, interpreting customer data, and sharing insights with various stakeholders across the company. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing our customer-focused strategies and elevating customer experiences across all channels and interactions.Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Develop Research Programs: Spearhead and refine the Consumer Market Research program to boost customer engagement, satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy.

Data Collection Systems: Create and maintain systems for gathering consumer feedback from multiple channels.

Survey Design: Develop effective customer surveys to capture valuable feedback and insights.

Data Analysis: Examine large datasets to uncover trends, opportunities, and customer needs and preferences.

Actionable Insights: Deliver actionable insights derived from data analysis to stakeholders, facilitating data-driven decision-making with a customer-focused approach.

Presentation and Communication: Present findings and recommendations to various levels within the organization, tailoring messages to effectively influence and persuade diverse audiences.

Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as an expert in Consumer Market Research tools and practices, fostering a Customer First culture.

Data Management: Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel and platforms like Qualtrics to manage and analyze customer data.

Survey Methodologies: Oversee customer surveys, methodologies, and processes to collect and interpret consumer feedback.

Account Monitoring: Monitor and respond to customer inquiries and feedback, taking appropriate actions as necessary.

Requirements

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business, Marketing, Economics, Psychology, or a related social science field.

Relevant Experience: Over 5 years of experience in Consumer Market Research, Customer Experience (CX), or similar roles.

Data Analysis Expertise: More than 5 years of experience analyzing quantitative research data and providing actionable business insights.

Survey Design and Feedback Collection: At least 3 years of experience designing surveys and using various methods for customer feedback collection, including programming and deployment.

Market Research Platforms Proficiency: Skilled in using consumer market research platforms such as Qualtrics, Medallia, Alida, or similar.

Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively and efficiently.

Communication Skills: Proven capability to translate data into clear, actionable insights and communicate results, progress, and next steps effectively, with the ability to tailor communication style to different audiences (both written and verbal).

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for influencing and building relationships.

Detail-Oriented and Motivated: High attention to detail, self-motivated, and capable of working both collaboratively and independently.

Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Retail Research Experience: Experience in conducting research within the retail sector.

Industry Knowledge and Certification: Familiarity with consumer market research industry trends, with relevant training or certifications.

Understanding of Market Research Trends: Solid grasp of the latest consumer market research industry trends and innovations.

Analytical Platforms: Experience with analytical tools such as SPSS, Tableau, or similar.
