Description Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Legal Secretary to join our team in West LA. The ideal candidate should be highly professional, possess exceptional time management and organizational skills, and be capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced legal environment.This opportunity includes a highly competitive benefits package including paid time off, 401k, dental, vision, and a retirement plan.Key Responsibilities:

Preparation, editing, and prooing of legal documents, court filings, and correspondence.

Handling all administrative tasks including but not limited to managing calendars, answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, and maintaining client files.

Collaborate with attorneys to manage their caseload, assisting with legal research and drafting legal documents as necessary.

Serving as the main point of contact for all clients, legal teams, and opposing counsel.

Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with legal standards and protocols.

Filing legal documents with state and federal courts in a timely manner.

Assisting with billing and expenses tasks to ensure all financial matters are maintained accurately.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree or certification in legal studies is preferred.

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as legal secretary or paralegal in a law firm environment.

Excellent knowledge of legal terminology, procedures and protocols.

Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new legal software.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, attorneys, and staff at all levels.

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure.

Experience of electronic filing procedures in state and federal courts.

Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
