Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Boulder, Colorado. Within the non-profit sector, this role is integral to maintaining financial order and transparency within our organization. The job function will encompass a wide range of accounting tasks, from maintaining accounts payable and receivable to reconciling bank statements, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded Facilitate the month-end closing process, including the review and analysis of the trial balance Handle daily bank deposits and monitor their subsequent entries Manage and track foundation grants, ensuring accurate record keeping Oversee full cycle payroll, ensuring all employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner Monitor and reconcile credit card statements to ensure accuracy Utilize business management software and spreadsheet software to record, track, and audit financial data. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar. Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. Demonstrated experience in performing Bank Reconciliations. Familiarity with General Ledger management and Journal Entries. Experience in conducting Month End Close. Ability to handle Daily Bank Deposits. Experience in handling Foundation Grants. Proficiency in Full Cycle Payroll. Experience in Credit Cards management. Proficiency in using Business Central 365.
