The on-air Technical Operations team in Centennial, Colorado manages playout, linear and digital distribution of content, and monitoring for NBC and Telemundo’s Network Operation and Owned Television Stations, including distribution of live programing (such as Today Show, SNL, America’s Got Talent, The Voice, NFL, Olympics, Election Coverage, FIFA World Cup, and Breaking News). The team also plays an integral role in origination and monitoring of Disaster Recovery streams for a diverse portfolio of cable properties. Our Master Control Operators play a critical role in maintaining 99.999% on-air reliability in this dynamic, multi-channel environment. Our Operators are technologically curious, obsessed with the details, and excited to solve problems as a team to get compelling content to viewer’s screens. Note: This is a broadcast distribution role which has some interfacing with production teams, however, this role is not a production-based role.Colorado applicants only, wage range: $50,000-$55,000 (not bonus eligible)Responsibilities:Maintain and manipulate on-air playlists, execute program/commercial/marketing changes, and support live-event and contingency workflows using cutting-edge software like SNELL Morpheus and Amagi.Execute seamless program, commercial, and marketing changes and provide support for live events and contingency workflows.Take ownership of commercial integration, ensuring flawless rolling of commercial breaks during both taped and live programming.Contributing to the team which collectively monitors and maintains 150+ channel streams, ensuring continuous availability and identifying any inconsistencies with keen attention to detail.Guarantee the continuity of programming by meticulously confirming the readiness of every piece of material for on-air playout.Act as the last line of defense for internal clients and stations, swiftly responding to any on-air discrepancies with situational awareness and quick decision-making skills.Protect our on-air product by meticulously simulating the viewer experience, constantly checking for proper audio, video, captioning, and picture quality.Collaborate with Operation Supervisors and work as a cohesive team to promptly recover from any on-air discrepancies.Act as a mentor and subject matter expert by contributing and supporting on-going peer-to-peer training.Perform all other duties to support the success of the Network Operations Center as assigned by manager and follow company rules and policies
