Collins Aerospace is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector II to perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts, subassemblies, and major assemblies. In this role, you will utilize both standard and specialized measuring instruments and gages to complete inspection records and rejection reports with precision.What You Will Do:Conduct Detailed Product Inspections

Perform thorough inspections on in-process and finished goods, including First Article Inspections, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards.

Accurately Document Product Characteristics

Record product characteristics with technical detail and accuracy, maintaining comprehensive and precise inspection records.

Initiate Quality Notifications

Identify and document any non-conforming products, initiating quality notifications to address and resolve issues promptly.

Apply Quality Assurance Procedures

Implement quality assurance procedures and requirements in the inspection of hardware and during document reviews, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Proactively Identify Quality Issues

Detect potential quality issues early in the process and take preventive measures to avoid their occurrence, maintaining the integrity of our products.

Communicate Quality Issues Effectively

Collaborate and communicate effectively with other Collins Aerospace personnel to resolve any quality issues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Monitor Calibrated Measuring Instruments

Ensure the proper use and maintenance of calibrated measuring instruments, guaranteeing the accuracy and reliability of inspection results.

Qualifications We Require:

HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Must be able to use precision measuring tools.

Must have basic computer skills including the ability to use operating software.

Ability to pass color/vision test

Qualifications We Prefer:

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages

Experience performing detailed product inspections using blueprints and specifications

The ability to utilize computer systems including input of data and retrieval of information for inspections and configuration purposes

The ability to review documents and to identify and resolve any errors or missing information

Prefer experience using SAP.

Prefer experience utilizing micrometers and calipers.
