You will play an integral role in our client’s design, engineering, and administrative process. You will be highly involved in the technical aspects of their projects, from initial contact with a client through to final construction preparation.
Working in our client’s talented Engineering & Estimation department, you will start with the basics and work up to learning all the details involved in deck design and construction. We are a tight-knit team that constantly helps each other out and bounces ideas back and forth. As an employee of our client, you will always feel challenged but never lost or without assistance.
This is a M-F in-office position.
Responsibilities:
Converting hand-drawn sketches into digital drawings
Creating 2D presentation plans for clients
Structural analysis and substructure design
Perform comprehensive material take-offs for estimating
Technical proposal writing
Work with building jurisdictions to acquire construction permits
Prepare dimensioned construction plans
Create 3D models of upcoming projects
Qualifications:
CAD drafting experience (SketchUp Preferred)
Have an understanding of structural design concepts
Experience creating construction/manufacturing drawings
Good communication skills & work well in team environment
Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel)
Strong attention to detail
Technical writing skills
Carpentry/construction experience
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or other relevant degree.
