We’re just built to be better. We are a great company.Reporting to the SVP of Marketing & Communications, this individual will drive the visual, strategic direction of the company’s brand portfolio. With a keen sense for detail and a passion for storytelling through design, the Art Director will have a strong artistic eye, a deep understanding of design principles, and the ability to inspire and collaborate with designers, copywriters, and other professionals to unify the brand by aligning values, messaging, customer experience and internal culture to create a cohesive and impactful presence.The Art Director will lead and oversee visual concepts for a wide variety of projects – from high-visibility internal and external campaigns, advertising, brochure development and social media, to PowerPoint, white papers, infographics and vendor relations. He/she must have expert knowledge of both digital and print media.Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Help develop and execute creative strategies that align with the company’s vision, mission and objectives.
Conceptualize and oversee the creation of high-impact internal and external marketing, advertising and thought leadership campaigns, including digital and print collateral.
Collaborate with marketing and other corporate teams to define brand positioning and ensure creative alignment with the company’s overall business strategy.
Partner closely with account managers, strategists and internal clients to understand business objectives and translate them into effective, creative solutions.
Collaborate with executives and senior leaders on PowerPoint slide visual development to enhance narratives.
Oversee and mentor a design team to ensure all creative work meets brand guidelines, maintains high standards and delivers a consistent brand message.
Lead brainstorming sessions to foster creativity and generate new ideas that push boundaries while staying true to core brand values.
Oversee timelines and deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Stay ahead of creative trends, innovations (Ai), and emerging technologies to incorporate cutting-edge concepts into brand campaigns.
Ensure all creative content complies with legal standards, industry regulations and company policies, including intellectual property rights and accessibility guidelines.
Develop a brand repository for time-saving endeavors.
Minimum Requirements:
15+ years of experience in art direction and design in a corporate in-house team.
Experience in marketing and brand work with a rich portfolio, including digital, print, interactive and web/mobile design.
Maintain and evolve the visual identity of the brand, ensuring all design elements reflect the brand’s personality, tone and values.
Work closely with copywriters, designers, marketing teams and clients to ensure creative alignment and effective execution of campaigns and projects.
Outstanding presentation skills and proven ability to produce and pitch world-class strategic presentations to all levels of an organization, including senior leadership.
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing timelines, deliverables and resources to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Hands-on expertise in developing design solutions and campaigns across all mediums: advertising, websites (desktop/mobile), digital products, social, content marketing, events, etc.
Expert knowledge with creative software tools (Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat; Microsoft products – PowerPoint, Word).
Strategic thinking with exceptional communication skills; ability to build support for creative concepts and ideas across varying stakeholders.
Lead and inspire the creative team, ensuring that all visual concepts and designs align with client briefs and brand guidelines.
Mentor and guide junior designers, helping them to grow in their careers and improve their design skills.
Excellent conceptual, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
