Our established R&A healthcare facility is seeking a compassionate and experienced Caregiver/Personal Care Provider for the Denver Metro Area. This role is crucial in supporting clients with special needs, ranging from children to seniors, helping them maintain a high quality of life in a respectful and caring environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Impeccable communication skills and the ability to solve problems quickly.
Cheerful, receptive, kind, and compassionate demeanor.
Experience working with adults with mental deficits is a plus, but not required.
Reliable transportation is mandatory.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
Must be able to pass a background check (processing time: 5-7 business days).
CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
Willingness to learn and be trained in non-skilled care.
Ability to respect and accommodate cultural and religious practices.
Client Profile:
This client needs 3 hours each day of respite services. Monday - Friday, during the day while mom is at work or in the afternoons. We will be meeting with mom and the client prior to completing our new hire paperwork to ensure compatibility between us all.
Client's mom has provided a little insight into her daughter’s needs, please read and review below, and apply if you feel you are the best for her.
Mom: "I am currently seeking a qualified respite caregiver for my 17-year-old daughter. She is autistic and experiences selective mutism, resulting in minimal verbal communication, particularly with unfamiliar individuals. She is highly functioning, capable of independent thought and decision-making, yet she remains naturally shy and tends to isolate herself. She would benefit from a caregiver who can provide gentle companionship and facilitate supportive interaction.
She requires assistance with certain activities of daily living, including meal preparation and reminders for personal hygiene. It is essential that the caregiver be patient, understanding, and experienced in supporting adolescents with limited or nonverbal communication.
At this time, I am actively seeking a caregiver capable of providing safe, compassionate, and consistent care."
Work Schedule: Mondays - Fridays, specific times will be created at the meet and greet. 15 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and organized living space. Cleaning up after whichever task is done. (if meals were made & if games were played)
Going out into the community if the client is in the mood or the weather is right.
Understanding what the clients’ disabilities are, and knowing when a bad day appears, as they will.
Demonstrate flexibility to adjust schedules for family events and changing needs.
Compensation: $19.00 per hour
Monthly pay is offered, with cash advances available. Additional hours can be provided by working with multiple clients to meet preferred scheduling needs.
