Description Robert Half is partnering with a growing Real Estate client in the Denver area who is seeking a Property Tax Manager. The Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Property Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the real estate or multi-unit business sector, coupled with a solid foundation in public accounting. The Property Tax Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all property tax functions, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and optimizing tax strategies to minimize liabilities.Key Responsibilities:

Property Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all property tax returns and related documentation.

Assessment Reviews: Conduct detailed reviews of property tax assessments and proactively manage assessment appeals and protests.

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize property tax liabilities and maximize tax savings.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and manage property tax budgets and forecasts, and provide variance analysis and reporting.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in property tax laws and regulations and ensure company compliance.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, external advisors, and tax authorities to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Audit Management: Manage property tax audits, including preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and negotiating settlements.

Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on property tax matters, trends, and opportunities.

This role offers some flexibility to work from home, 2 days a week. The person needs to live in the Denver area to be considered for this role. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in property tax management within the real estate or multi-unit business sector.

Strong foundation in public accounting, with a comprehensive understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.

Proven experience in managing property tax assessments, appeals, and audits.
