Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Pharmacy Technician Purchasing Agent oversees the procurement and storage of medications, supplies, and equipment. You will be responsible for accurate purchase order development, invoice maintenance, acting upon drug recalls, drug shortages and resolution, and returning expired medications.

You will be responsible for inventory management, keeping accurate records that meet financial and regulatory requirements, inter-department billing, and other duties as assigned.

You will perform functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. These tasks may include non-sterile compounding, stocking automated dispensing cabinets, unit dose drug preparation, delivering medications to patient care areas, checking medication storage areas for outdates, and billing.

You will serve as the subject matter expert in their designated specialty area. They may assist with writing policies, implementing changes and improvements in their area of specialty, serving as a staff educator or trainer, and may oversee projects for the department.

Position Requirements:

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) with Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Pharmacy Technician Certificate or Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate.

If initially hired with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate, you must achieve a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) within 12 months of hire.

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred

Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.

Possesses communication, teamwork, customer service, computer, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
