Kitchen Manager
Seeking a Kitchen Manager for a fun, fast-paced Diner in downtown Durango. The Durango Diner is the original, premiere breakfast staple of Durango. With highly involved ownership, and lots of long-term staff, customers, and vendors, we offer a close team with good communication and easy flow of work. New ownership (Sept. 2021) has streamlined and modernized many of the processes, looking to continue that trend with this Kitchen Manager position. Not in a hurry, looking for the right fit!
Responsibilities
This is a line-heavy roll. Being a competent and efficient line cook is a must.
Ordering: basic ordering, and inventory as needed.
BOH staff management: basic scheduling and getting shifts covered.
Prep duties and streamlining prep as needed.
Creating specials and menu edits as needed.
Open to creative new dishes/ideas.
Offering
Hourly or Salaried position possible, ($25-$30/hr)
4 or 4.5 day work week (40-50hrs), somewhat flexible on which days
2 weeks PTO
3% matching IRA after 1 year of employment
Shift Meals
Motivated ownership willing to work with you on schedule (and available to cover shifts)
