Description Job Title: Junior Buyer Job Type: Permanent/Full-Time Location: Branford, CT Our client, a stable and reputable manufacturer, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join their procurement team. As a Junior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies. Assist in the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, components, and supplies needed for production.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.

Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of goods.

Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the production team to forecast future needs.

Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or supplier performance.

Assist in evaluating supplier performance and developing long-term relationships with key suppliers.

Stay up-to-date with market trends and industry developments to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus!

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong data entry skills.

Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
