Description Job Title: Accounting ClerkLocation: Bridgeport, CT areaDirect-Hire / Permanent positionRobert Half contact: Drew.Schroll@RobertHalf com. We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The individual will be responsible for maintaining and managing customer credit applications and records within our organization. This role involves a focus on ensuring all customer credit inquiries are resolved in an efficient manner and taking appropriate action on delinquent payments. Responsibilities: Process customer credit applications in an efficient and accurate manner Maintain accurate records of customer credit Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and effectively Monitor customer credit accounts regularly for any discrepancies Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments as required Prepare vendor checks and ensure correct coding of approved invoices using QuickBooks Perform month-end bank, credit card, and other reconciliations Maintain tuition collection system and ensure accurate billing and receipt of payments Coordinate the registration process for new and existing customers Prepare bank deposits and transmit to the bank for all revenue and additional monies received Record all receipts into QuickBooks and maintain financial records. All inquiries will remain confidential.Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation, demonstrating the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data. Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including managing and tracking payments and invoices. Knowledge of billing procedures, with the ability to accurately prepare and issue invoices to customers or clients. Proficiency in data entry, ensuring accurate and efficient input of financial information into the system. Experience with invoice processing, including reviewing, verifying, and processing invoices for payment. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, particularly in creating spreadsheets, using formulas, and generating reports. Knowledge of Oracle financial software, demonstrating the ability to manage and analyze financial data. Experience with QuickBooks for managing and tracking company accounts, invoicing, and payroll. Familiarity with SAP software for managing business operations and customer relations.
