Description Sr. Executive Assistant to Chairman of Surgery - Danbury, CTFull-time, 40 hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pmSummary:Provides administrative support to the Chairman of Surgery and department members in anefficient manner to ensure quality patient care and customer satisfaction. Coordinates,evaluates and modifies support provided to section chiefs and program directors. Coordinatesassigned projects and tracks project plans for the department.Responsibilities:
Schedules and coordinates meetings with Administrators, Managers, Leadership, community leaders and other stakeholders for the Chairman.
Monitor projects and initiatives and follows up on projects assigned to Section chiefs and program directors.
Maintains personnel files of members of the Department of Surgery. Maintains calendar records and performs periodic audits as required.
Maintains the Chairman’s calendar and advises of changes or conflicts in schedule on a daily basis.
Organizes monthly meeting of the Department of Surgery, keeps minutes and files attendance.
Establishes and maintains highly confidential files for the Chairman and/or department staff. Updates files maintained on electronic media as required.
Prepares presentational materials for organizational and Board level committee projects. Assures presentation for accuracy.
Prepares and processes purchase requisitions as it relates to the endowments. Maintains files of purchase requisitions and/or capital purchase projects.
Interfaces directly with vendors and third party's on behalf of the Chairman as required.
Education, Skills and Requirements:
Required: Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
Requires 7+ years experience supporting an Executive Leadership Role.
Maintain confidentiality.
Strong written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
