Description We are in search of a Claims Coordinator to join our professional services team in Greenwich, Connecticut. This role provides an opportunity to work in a hybrid setting, where you will be responsible for managing claims and coordinating with various teams within the organization. This is a long-term contract position that offers a chance to collaborate with different stakeholders while delivering exceptional customer service.Responsibilities: Organize and maintain all claim-related documentation and ensure daily updates to the claims database. Collaborate with our Operations team to collect documents and data pertinent to all claims. Conduct thorough research and investigations in partnership with our Chartering team and surveyors to decide the processing or rejection of a claim. Manage communication with clients regarding the claims process, status, and settlements. Handle correspondence with our cargo insurance company to facilitate the processing of claims. Liaise with clients and our cargo insurance company during the claims process. Draft documents in English and Spanish. Operate with minimal supervision once trained. Utilize Spanish language skills for speaking, reading, and writing. Leverage experience with legal writing. Requirements Applicant must possess strong data entry skills. Proficiency in using computer applications is essential. Prior experience in a customer service role is required. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask is necessary. Knowledge of claims processing procedures is advantageous. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong organizational skills to ensure proper tracking and filing of claims. Problem-solving skills to resolve any issues related to claims. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of the professional services industry is beneficial. Availability to work during standard business hours.
