Screw Machine Programmer Setup Operator Star and Tsugami
We are looking for a person who is passionate with screwmachines and likes creating new parts. At NDZ Performance we are a growing aftermarket firearms accessories manufacturer which is hiring a knowledgeable for our screw machine dept. A full working knowledge of setting up, running, and or programming jobs. We are NOT a job shop, we produce our own cool brand of accessories for our B2B and B2C operations. With that said, we make parts with creative designs or looks which appeal to our customers. This is truly a different way of doing things, makes our job more exciting and rewarding since we have national brand recognition. The items we manufacture are NOT the tight "pain in the ass" aerospace type tolerances, but more critical is making sure the parts are to spec, clean, meaning burr free smooth to the hand and some freestyle elements of making our parts look good and stand out from the competition.
Our CNC shop is what makes us who we are, and is a cornerstone of our business, designing creative functional parts and accessories for the firearms, automotive and other industries.
JOB SUMMARY: A developing screw machine dept. with 2 Star's and a Tsugami. We have general machine shop environment and support functions. Process job setups, operate screw machines, check parts to print, recommend/ order tooling for proper machine operation & perform routine maintenance or repairs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program & proof out new jobs
Design, develop appealing, aesthetic looking parts with team
Spec out, coordinate order tools, tooling and material
Run existing screw machines, tool or job changes
Assist in training future candidates - on boarding of operators
Program, and optimize programing tools, must be a self starter
Working knowledge of part inspection using standard industry standard inspection tools.
Other tasks as assigned by management
1st shift part time work (40 hrs wk)
90 day probation period
PLEASE NOTE: NDZ holds an FFL, if you have a felony which prevents you from being around firearms, please do NOT apply. This job requires being comfortable around firearms, parts and accessories thereof, as this is our business environment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:
Have a naturally positive attitude with demonstrated strong verbal, written communication skills. Communication is the key to our business at all levels. Having prior CNC and manufacturing experience is a must, capable of working with minimum supervision, ability to operate multiple machines when needed, physically able to lift 40 lbs, desire to learn new skills, work on their feet for extended period of time. Must have good math skills, ability to read blueprints, read, write and speak English, and have good interpersonal skills. You can multi-task and adapt to changing situations. Previous independent work environment preferred.
