Description Systems Administrator w/ Blade server experienceJob Type: Full Time (Hybrid onsite 3x week in MA, RI or CT)Location: Onsite 3x per weekJob Description:We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Systems Administrator with Blade server experience to join our IT team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our networking and systems administration, ensuring our IT operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will have a unique blend of technical expertise and sharp problem-solving skills.Key Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain, and upgrade network and computer systems.
Oversee local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and network segmentation.
Handle and record network and system performance reports.
Perform system installations and infrastructure upgrades.
Monitor system performance to prevent interruptions and network crashes.
Create comprehensive reports on system health and remaining capacities.
Manage backup and recovery processes.
Install, support, and maintain Blade Servers; experience with Synergy Blade Servers is a bonus but not necessary.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
Experience with databases, networks (Cisco, LAN, WAN), and patch management.
Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery. SAN Storage.
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Microsoft, Linux, etc).
A deep understanding of networking protocols and network/security infrastructure.
Resourcefulness and problem-solving prowess.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
High adaptability in multitasking, working on multiple projects with different priorities.
The successful candidate must have a proven track record with Blade Server environments. They should have a proactive approach to maintenance, problem-solving, and improvements.
