Description POSITION: PLANT CONTROLLER (MANUFACTURING)LOCATION: NAUGATUCK, CTRECRUITER CONTACT: KELLEIGH MARQUARD - Kelleigh.Marquard@RoberthalfWe are offering an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Controller with a wonderful and growing company in Central CT. This role is essential to our Valued Client's Leadership team, focusing on managing all accounting functions of the organization including Financial Statement Preparation, Cash Management, Financial Planning, oversite of A/R, A/P, Payroll, HR and Cost/Inventory Accounting. Responsibilities:

Work closely with executive team and ownership to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation

Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

Perform cost accounting and analysis of costing standards

Participate in inventory planning and oversee accounting and reporting on inventory levels

Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections and payroll

Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

Lead and manage HR function including benefits administration, compensation analysis and hiring

Meet client expectations by reviewing deliverables of self and team to make sure they meet client satisfaction

Time billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual

Research, prepare and execute process improvement initiatives

Proficiency in Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Experience in Budget Processes and Month End Close. Experience with Cost Accounting within a Manufacturing Plant environment. Expertise in Inventory Accounting. Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities to lead and manage a team. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
