Financial AnalystThis position is contingent upon Customer approval, funding, and position availability.POSITION SUMMARYIn anticipation of a Business Development Task Order, Amentum is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Financial Analyst to support the Diplomacy &International Development Business Line. In addition to all the necessary qualifications of a Financial Analyst professional, the selected candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic and high-energy environment.This position will be considered fully remote but must be able to accommodate the Eastern US time zone.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administers the financial activities of a business and controls the accounts of the organization. Develops the organization's financial plan, enhances the financial controls, and aids in directing its investment activities.
Directs the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports; and summarizes and estimates the organization's financial position such as income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings and income.
Plans the organization's long-term financial goals, deals with budget and payroll, maintains discretionary accounts, and maintains accurate financial records for tax-related purposes.
Maintains the spreadsheets of all the financial activities and brings them together into the report at the end of the month or year.
Keeps all the documentation that supports the figures contained in report for auditing purposes. Distributes resources in a way that keeps the organization running efficiently without going above the financial limits.
Provides financial information and understands the implications of business performance and funding needs.
REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in finance, including government contracting experience for multiple type contracts (FFP, CPFF, T&M).
Requires understanding of all accounting and financial transactions to include cost review, reconciliations of accounts, and adjustments.
Ability and willingness to travel to austere environments as and when needed (approximately 10%) is required.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field from an accredited college is required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Supports all audit activities for both internal and external audits.
Performs monthly/quarterly/year end analysis and reconciliation on all programs.
Coordinates with the billing staff to produce accurate invoices to customers. Supports all collection efforts.
Performs weekly/monthly reviews and processes all indirect and direct costs.
Supports all division program reviews.
Supports proposal development and pricing as required.
Language Skills: Proficiency in written and oral English language.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Multi-tasker with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
Experience in CostPoint, Cognos, and Hyperion is desired.
