Job Title: Licensed Cook & Line/ Register/ Preppers- All shifts are needed, but especially late morning and afternoon hours

Location: Wild Tacoz, Falls Church, VA

Wild Tacoz is looking for a part-time skilled and certified cook (with a current food safety certificate) to join our dynamic kitchen team at our growing eatery-style flagship restaurant in Falls Church, VA. We are also ready to hire a few Line/Register Employees, and previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required for those positions. Wild Tacoz is fast becoming the coolest and most unique neighborhood taco joint, offering a much-loved, creative Greek/Mex fusion menu.

You’ll be working in a clean, organized kitchen where we cut no corners. We are looking for one person with a cook’s know-how, a willingness to learn the Wild Tacoz way, and the drive to take pride in work well done. The Line Workers assist in the kitchen and dining area, ready to jump into various roles as needed. We need people with a strong work ethic who are inspired and challenged in a fast-paced environment. Those who become successful with us have energy to burn! Furthermore, anyone joining us will possess an engaging, upbeat temperament since providing top-notch, customer-facing personal interactions is at the core of building our business.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR COOK

Proven experience as a cook in a kitchen or restaurant setting

Valid health department license and a strong understanding of food safety practices

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/ RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ALL STAFF:

Ability to work a register, or the aptitude to do so

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards

Ensure all food is prepared on time and meets quality and presentation standards

Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work area

Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies

Collaborate with team members and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Knows how to have fun while working hard!

What you need:

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods

Capability to lift 50 pounds

Manual dexterity to handle kitchen equipment and utensils

Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
