Position Overview

The Senior Political Risk Analyst will lead in-depth analysis and reporting on geopolitical developments, government stability, regulatory changes, and conflict dynamics across key global regions. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical acumen, an understanding of international affairs, and the ability to translate political developments into actionable insights for business and security stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct advanced political and economic risk assessments across multiple regions, with an emphasis on emerging markets and strategic sectors.

Monitor global political, social, and security trends that may impact clients’ operations, investments, or supply chains.

Produce high-quality written reports, forecasts, and scenario analyses for senior decision-makers.

Brief internal teams and clients on current geopolitical developments, including crisis assessments and country outlooks.

Collaborate with data scientists and intelligence specialists to integrate qualitative and quantitative risk indicators.

Manage and mentor junior analysts, ensuring analytical rigor and methodological consistency across deliverables.

Contribute to business development by supporting client engagements, proposals, and customized risk solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Security Studies, or related field.

Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in political risk analysis, intelligence, or consulting.

Proven expertise in regional geopolitics (e.g., Eastern Europe, Middle East, or Indo-Pacific).

Excellent writing and briefing skills in English, with the ability to deliver concise, actionable insights.

Proficiency in open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection and risk modeling methodologies.
