Job description
Anderson Sunoco are looking for a licensed VA State & Emissions Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be a Safety and Emissions certified with VA State Police and DEQ.
The VA Safety and Emissions Inspector is responsible for inspecting vehicles for safety and emissions compliance. This position requires a thorough understanding of Virginia state laws and regulations, as well as the ability to use diagnostic equipment to identify and repair vehicle defects. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Perform safety and emissions inspections on vehicles
Identify and repair vehicle defects
Issue inspection reports
Maintain accurate records of inspections
Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
Stay up-to-date on Virginia state laws and regulations
Follow all safety procedures
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience as an automotive technician or inspector
Strong understanding of Virginia state laws and regulations
Ability to use diagnostic equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends
