Be at the forefront of strategic military cooperation efforts across Latin America, working directly with the Colombian Armed Forces and eight Partner Nations. Gain exposure to US Embassy operations and contribute to significant defense programs that enhance regional security. Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), SOUTHCOM Headquarters, and regional security cooperation offices. Lead coordination efforts for high-level international training programs, mobile training teams (MTTs), and security initiatives. Work in a dynamic, bilingual environment, with opportunities to hone your language skills and gain proficiency in critical defense cooperation systems (SOCIUM, SC-TMS, TED). Support impactful initiatives in regional security cooperation, influencing policy development and execution across several countries in Central and South America.Responsibilities:Coordinate and manage the logistical support for USCAP Regional Security initiatives, including Mobile Training Teams (MTTs) and school courses. Organize and monitor non-standard transportation for personnel and equipment, ensuring timely and efficient movement for mission execution. Prepare, update, and manage Training and Equipment Lists (TELs) for Special Forces teams, entering them into the DSCA SOCIUM system. Handle financial logistics, including coordinating Line of Accounting (LOA) forms, paying agent appointments, and approvals for Mission Coordination Team supplies and services. Ensure compliance with Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG) requirements and secure country clearance for MTT deployments through the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS). Provide logistical support for US and Colombian Special Forces operations in partner nations, such as Costa Rica and Honduras. Collaborate with SOUTHCOM key stakeholders and other entities to monitor logistics for field operations, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with fiscal year goals. Maintain proficiency in DSCA and SOUTHCOM systems, such as SC-TMS and TED, to track equipment and personnel movements.Qualifications:Required:Current Secret Security Clearance. Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience. We will also consider candidates with directly relevant experience with Logistical Support in a Special Operation unit at the Battalion and/or Brigade level. Spanish fluency at a 3/3 proficiency level (reading, writing, speaking) is required as the principal language for coordination is Spanish.Desired:Must be able to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.
