Heat Pump Engineer

Job DescriptionThis position will provide solutions for water source and geothermal heat pump designs for products ranging from 0.5 to 60 tons of cooling. The selected candidate will work both with project teams and independently to produce designs for HVAC systems based upon laboratory safety standards, building codes, and current market demands.Duties & Responsibilities:Assigned development projects or complex engineering assignmentsPerform HVAC system design evaluations and provide system solutionsIncorporate health, safety, and environmental factors into system designsProvide strong technical input and a high level of accountability in engineering projectsCreate, conduct, and support test plans for unit rating, performance, and reliability testing.Support product design, bill of materials, modeling, and final assembly development.Lead and support specification, selection, and qualification of materials and componentsSupport engineering team associates, manufacturing and operations, and material sourcing.Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives.Lead and support root cause analysis & problem solving implementation from start to finish.Assist in the development of department standards and procedures
