Requirements
Experience: Some restaurant kitchen experience is preferred, but not required.
Availability: Must be able to work full-time, including weekends and early mornings.
Cuisine Knowledge: Interest in cooking; familiarity with Latin American flavors is a bonus.
Skills: Basic English, knife skills, ability to follow recipes and prep lists.
Attributes: Punctual, organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Certification: Food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Physical: Ability to lift up to 15 to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and organize ingredients according to daily prep lists.
Follow recipes, portioning, and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Rotate and store ingredients properly (FIFO).
Assist with dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and general kitchen tasks.
Support the team with kitchen organization and food storage.
Receive and check deliveries when needed.
Communicate clearly and work well with the kitchen team.
Appearance
Prep Cooks must follow company dress code and grooming guidelines.
