Implement and maintain procedures for manufacturing, preparing, and shipping kits to testing/training sites.

Prepare component parts of each kit, which include agar plates, bacterial cultures, buffers, and reagents;

Identify, source, and inventory kit materials and components;

Implement and follow quality control checklists for product/kit manufacture, inspection, and approval;

Complete documentation associated with the preparation and mailing of practical exam material/reagent kits;

Schedule and train part-time OPS positions;

Prepare materials for and assist with the delivery of industry short-courses, teacher training, student fieldtrips, credential testing, and outreach.

Provide support and assistance to Biotility services including field trips, professional development workshops and short-courses, for students (multi-level), and incumbent employees;

Assist with lab work, which may include techniques such as culturing cells, aseptic technique, DNA isolation and purification, protein purification, assays for DNA and protein analysis such as ELISA, Spectrophotometry, pH, gel electrophoresis;

Maintain a positive learning experience for each student;

Serve as an exam proctor for on and off-site credentialing exams;

Operate plate-pouring equipment for the production of media-filled plates for use in testing and teaching kits, as well as for individual clients.

Prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards;

Develop and oversee operations systems by determining raw material, product handling, and storage requirements;

Develop documented processes for equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping;

General duties relating to responsibilities listed above

Manage relationships with key operations vendors, obtain quotes as needed, and track vendor pricing, rebates and service levels;

Forecast purchasing requirements, analyze variances, and respond/plan accordingly;

Perform ongoing analysis of inventory (chemicals, supplies, reagents, equipment, etc.) to ensure purchases are effectively utilized, purchasing the correct equipment, and maintaining solid inventory data.

Drive Practical Exam kits to Fed Ex or other delivery/mailing entities for shipment.

Other duties as assignedExpected Salary:$21.55 per hourMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in biology or a closely related life science field.Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of basic laboratory techniques.

Familiarity with industry practices, regulatory compliance, and documentation.

Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam (BACE) credential earner.

Meticulous attention to data entry details, recording, and tracking.

Ability to prioritize duties and organize time.

Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with clients and students.
