Preference is given to applicants that can work in a combination of areas. See below requirements for each:
Box Truck Delivery Driver - Part Time or Full Time Hawthorne, FL
One to two days per week doing delivery routes. Requires one day per week working on site at the farm
Driver/Production: Training Rate $15-$16/hr depending on experience Compensation after training $16-$17/hr
Duties:
-Pack items and drive with care to ensure products arrive in good condition.
-Inventory using the Load List and ensure all products are accounted for
-Communicate with Production Team and Office Staff to resolve any errors or missing items
-Document inventory, pickups, deliveries and keep written and digital logs
-Provide excellent customer service to everyone regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or identity, national origin
-Report errors, accidents, etc immediately to managers
-Use a smartphone routing app called Routific
-Lift at least 50 pounds and climb into the box truck regularly
-Pay attention to details and report when inconsistencies are found
-Perform preventative maintenance checks including fluids, tire pressure and belts, observe vehicle functions and report any issues
-Communicate professionally and courteously with other staff and customers
-Unload and clean truck at the end of each shift
Mowing and Maintenance Technician - Full or Part Time
-Compensation for training (first 10 work days) $11.50/hr. Compensation after training: $12.50 - $15.00/hr
-Demonstrate an attention to detail in all work capacities (training, record keeping, communication).
-Operate a Skag mower
-Service Small Engines (Honda booster pumps, generators, Kawasaki motor on Skag mower, Stihl trimmers)
-Maintain the tool area
-Keep tools organized and in good working order
-Maintain the tool Inventory spreadsheets to track the loss/purchase of tools
-Maintain complete documentation of services and intervals so that all preventative maintenance is performed on time
-Prepare and pace themselves to work outdoors including proper clothing (hats), hydration, nutrition and rest.
-Be a team player and willing to work together to get the job done
-Demonstrate capacity to use a tablet, computer or smartphone for digital record keeping and accurately enter numbers on a spreadsheet.
-Use scale and complete basic math
-Communicate with team members to solve problems
Production - Full or Part time
-Compensation for training (first 10 work days) $12.50/hr
-Compensation after training: $13.00 - $15.00/hr
- Plant, pick, wash, and pack produce
- Harvest, plant, and care for vegetable crops according to specifications
- Wash bins and load trucks
- Work quickly and accurately with your hands
- Clean and pack vegetables and other products according to specifications
- Demonstrate an attention to detail in all work capacities (training, record keeping, communication)
- Effectively and quickly do hand labor, including working safely with knives and clippers as needed - fine motor skills needed
- Prepare and pace themselves to work outdoors including proper clothing (hats), hydration, nutrition and rest
- Be a team player and willing to work together to get the job done
- Demonstrate capacity to use a tablet, computer or smartphone for digital record keeping and accurately enter numbers on a spreadsheet.
- Use scale and complete basic math
- Communicate with team members to solve problems
- Record work digitally using a tablet or computer onsite
Requirements
-Work in a Bilingual English/Spanish environment and demonstrate respect for people of different cultures.
-Arrive reliably to work on-time, as scheduled. Valid driver's license preferred but not required.
-Able to work all day in a tobacco-free workplace, no tobacco products are allowed to be consumed on-site.
-Complete and pass a background check

Teammates are encouraged to login and make an account so that they can shop as our customers with this credit to enjoy the finer products like jams, teas, honey, eggs, and pasture raised meat.
40 hours per year paid sick leave to care for yourself or a family member/loved one for full time (part time workers receive pro-rated sick leave)
-Monthly health care stipend for workers over 25 hours per week - details are covered in the Company Handbook
-Unpaid vacation in the fall or winter is negotiable, in coordination with other staff.
-Successful teammates may also be offered work in other aspects of production such as planting, weeding, irrigation, pruning, or general maintenance.
-After a successful first year, teammates may have the opportunity to participate in our farm incubator where you can manage your own half to one acre of land and sell your crops through our existing marketing channels.
