Staff Accountant

Description We are searching for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in JACKSONVILLE, Florida. The role will be centered around Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger tasks. The ideal candidate will be skilled in QuickBooks enterprise and other similar platforms. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the processing and organizing of customer credit applications Maintain accurate records of customer credit Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally Monitor customer credit accounts regularly Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Handle tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy Maintain the general ledger and make necessary adjustments Record journal entries as needed Assist in month-end close procedures. Requirements Candidate must possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is required Proficiency in maintaining and managing General Ledger is necessary Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries is a must Experience in Month End Close process is vital Familiarity with NetSuite software is required Experience with Oracle software is desired Proficiency in QuickBooks software is necessary Knowledge of SAP software is a plus The role requires a Staff Accountant with these skills and experience Candidates must be able to work in a team and independently Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required Professional certification such as CPA is a plus Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
