Description We are in the search for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in Lake Mary, Florida. The role involves the preparation of tax returns, providing expert knowledge in accounting software systems, and ensuring compliance with IRS regulations. This role is a contract position. Responsibilities: Prepare and review tax returns (1040, 1041, 1065, 1120) for individuals and businesses Conduct regular auditing to ensure all accounting functions are performed correctly Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws Utilize Thompson Reuters TaxStream and UltraTax CS software for tax research and planning Prepare financial statements as necessary Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities in a timely manner Collaborate with team members to complete the tax returns within the specified timeframe Monitor changes in tax law and inform clients of any potential effects on their financial standing Utilize accounting skills to analyze financial information and prepare reports.Requirements Minimum of three years of experience in tax accounting within the professional services industry Proficiency in accounting software systems Ability to handle various accounting functions Experience in auditing and compliance Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements Understanding of IRS regulations and requirements Proficiency in Thompson Reuters TaxStream Software Experience with Thompson Reuters UltraTax CS Software Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
