Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Controller to join our client's team based in Lake Park, Florida. This role will involve overseeing the preparation of AIA billing documents for multiple construction projects, managing financial records, and supporting construction projects. The successful candidate will also be required to assist with financial reporting, perform reconciliations, and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the preparation, submission, and tracking of AIA billing documents for various construction projects while adhering to AIA billing guidelines and industry standards. Assist in maintaining accurate financial records through careful data entry of financial transactions into accounting software, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to track project costs, process subcontractor invoices, and assist with cost allocation to specific projects. Assist in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to support management decision-making. Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors. Monitor and process vendor invoices and payments and follow up on overdue accounts receivable. Organize and maintain financial records, ensuring documents are appropriately filed and easily accessible for audit purposes. Stay updated on relevant industry regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvement. Work closely with the finance team, project managers, and other departments to support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant role such as Accounting Manager or Controller Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Demonstrable experience in auditing Familiarity with Deltek ComputerEase software Experience with AIA Billing Ability to produce accurate financial reports Proven experience in preparing financial statements Experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations Experience in Credit Card Reconciliation Familiarity with WIP - Work In Progress Proven ability to handle Month End Close procedures Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
