We Are Hiring a Histotechnician in the Miami, FL area! Job DescriptionYou will perform routine and special paraffin histotechnology duties under the supervision of a Lead Histotechnologist. Your role ensures the provision of high-quality diagnostic material within established turnaround times. Responsibilities include:
Accurate gross description on tissue samples
Performing quality control procedures
Operating all instruments/equipment according to accepted procedures
Meeting turnaround time and productivity standards
Assisting in problem resolution
Recording, transcribing and maintaining patient test results
Completing routine and STAT testing within set guidelines
Hard Skills
Microtomy
Embedding
Cutting
Skills in microtomy, grossing, processing, embedding, cutting, and routine special staining techniques
Associate degree in medical technology, chemistry, biology, or related life science
Formal training in Histology (720 hours)
State Licensure (CA, FL, NY require licensing)
