Producer

The Producer will field, produce, and present packages for assigned segments across all Entertainment Daily Shows. This can include producing packages and segments on news/entertainment, coordinating graphics, library, and video. In addition, they will oversee editorial aspects of all sales initiatives for EDS.Job Duties:Responsible for working independently with guidance from the Line producer and/or General Producer ProducerResearching segments, booking guests, and writing scripts. They will also work within a show unit to pitch ideas and produce portions of the show.Writes compelling copy and teasesSecures elements such as sound bites and video to support segmentsCreates stock charts and lower thirds, uses Chyron Luci, and coordinates graphic ordersPartners with other departments as needed (such as Graphics, Tech Ops, and Satellite Operations) to place and follow-up on requestsDevelops and maintains good relationships with financial and business news sourcesGenerates guest ideas daily, tapping into a broad array of sourcesAssists Line Producer with production of the show during and after tapingsReports (research, write, produce, present) fair and accurate stories as assigned daily to air on Al Rojo VivoDevelops and produces live guest segmentsFinds and books compelling guests for the show, following booking protocolsConducts pre-interviews of guests and based on their responses, script questions for use by anchors and reportersManages and arranges any necessary travel logistics for guestsGathers and verifies news and features information for presentation on air, online and mobileActively participates in daily meetings with story pitches of interest to our viewersDevelops and maintains contacts with community, popular entertainers, musicians, and key figuresDevelops enterprise and exclusive contentCollaborates with producers, managers, and photographers to conceptualize, write, and produce storiesIncorporates social media Stays informed regarding current events on a national, international, and regional levelCompletes and submits all release forms as and permits as neededWorks under the direct supervision of the General Producer and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisorEnsures that all work is done under the technical guidelines and operations procedures of Telemundo’s infrastructure and adheres to EHS/OSHA regulations and procedures
