Irrigation Technician/Specialist
Commercial Lawn Maintenance/Landscaping Company in the Davie, Florida area is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician/Specialist with a background in sprinkler system servicing and repairs.
Position is full-time Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Work day starts promptly at 6:45am.
Seasonal overtime or as required by schedule.
Individual MUST BE EXPERIENCED in servicing and troubleshooting commercial and residential irrigation systems.

Able to safely operate irrigation clocks, electrical wiring, and related equipment.

Job Duties:
Regularly perform wet checks, isolate and map sprinkler zones, repair breaks and wiring, and dig trenches needed to route or reroute PVC piping.
Troubleshoot and problem-solve irrigation system leaks, breaks, and other issues.
Assist with daily scheduling and regularly monitor daily workflow to ensure jobs move in accordance with schedule.
Immediately escalate any emergencies or time-sensitive issues to company owner.
Ensure on a daily basis that irrigation vehicle is equipped with all tools, materials, and safety equipment required for each job. Also, ensure that the vehicle is clean and organized at all times.
Ensure on a weekly basis that sprinkler parts and supplies are organized and labeled in appropriate bins in vehicles or storage areas designated for Irrigation Services.
Professionally interact with property managers and residential customers.
Occasional pickup of sprinkler parts on behalf of the company. All pickups require a receipt and verification that parts were entered into sprinkler parts inventory.
Wear company uniform and assigned safety equipment.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
2 years of experience in servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems
Valid Florida Driver’s License with good driving record. Able to travel to job sites. Must be insurable by our carrier.
Ability to safely operate ALL necessary equipment, including hand or power tools needed to perform the job.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Industry licenses or voluntary willingness to obtain them.
Ability to work outdoors at a fast pace in heat, humidity, cold, rain, dust and noise. Job requires energy and stamina.
Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. throughout the workday.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Salary: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
