Medium-sized Civil Litigation firm located in downtown West Palm Beach seeks a legal assistant experienced in Florida law to support 1-2 insurance defense attorneys as follows:
Assist in drafting and e-filing pleadings, notices, discovery responses and other legal memoranda
Manage and maintain electronic directory of litigation case files
Perform various data entry tasks to update case files
Provide administrative support such as scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations and expert witness conferences
Provide timely updates to the firm's clients and claims examiners
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, technological expertise, attention to detail and professional etiquette in all verbal/written communications. Candidates with large law firm backgrounds/skillsets who are seeking a more family-friendly work environment are strongly encouraged to apply. At least one year of experience working in insurance defense is required.
