We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsJob Summary:In conjunction with the Chief Nursing Officer, Assistant CNO, and/or Associate CNO, the Director of Clinical Operations (DCO) provides leadership support to the cost centers within the Department of Nursing. The specific area of leadership focus for the DCO is to plan, direct and coordinate day to day operations, including but not limited to staffing allocations, bed management, patient throughputIn this role you will:

Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies as direct reports to include but not limited to Joint Commission, CMS, and all state and federal agencies.

Oversees hospital throughput performance and depts. in relation to. Provides quality, data analytics to drive performance.

Leads, facilitates, and participates as directed in all process improvement, quality, safety, patient care, and corporate initiatives.

Serves as systems liaison and administrator for department of nursing as directed (Scheduling Excellence, PLUS, clinical dashboards, etc.).

Utilizes innovative thinking and systems knowledge to collect, analyze, and present data that facilitates data-driven decision making

Supports the nursing vision, philosophy, and mission through professional behavior, communication, and presence.

Participates as resource in the identification, justification, and acquisition of resources (personnel, supplies, equipment, knowledge) for the department of nursing.

Serves as a leader and role model in establishing and maintaining a patient care-centered culture and a culture reflective of employee engagement.

Actively participates as a leader in building partnerships with staff, customers and physicians through communication, follow through, and the availability of data. Participates in service line development and capital projects as directed.

Supports clinical practice and operational efficiency through leadership, systems utilization, and team participation.

Job Requirements:

FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire

Specialty certification in Executive Nursing Practice and/or Healthcare Administration preferred. Membership with American Organization of Nurse Executives preferred

Minimum 5 years progressive leadership experience in the healthcare setting. Most recent 3 years must be in a direct leadership role in the hospital setting. Successful track record of project management, productivity management, and resource management

Associate's Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
