The position will oversee a diverse leadership team tasked with implementing operational strategies to deliver targeted results in service quality, operational performance, compliance and risk. Proactive leader with the ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the organization. Is a member of the CIG Loan Operations Leadership Team, reporting to the Head of CIG Loan Operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.Oversee the optimization of the processes and servicing of the Letter of Credit & Trade Services portfolio. Develop and implement programs to support issuances, documentation, funding and servicing of Letters of Credit. Consolidate and document operational processes and consult with other line of business managers to develop enhanced processes and automated workflow solutions.Ensure the existence of acceptable and comprehensive processes and controls to certify adherence to all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Continually evaluate all processes and controls to maintain effective risk governance and operational risk management systems and processes for the line of business.Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efforts are aligned with bank standard operating procedures for the respective areas within the Letter of Credit & Trade Services division.Oversee a leadership team, including recruitment, retention, career development, performance management, salary administration, promotions, transfers, succession planning, training, coaching and terminations within established policies and guidelines.Administer the selection, design and implementation of processes, systems and technologies for large, enterprise efforts to improve our Letter of Credit & Trade Services activities.Develop and implement long and short-term strategic goals for the division. Communicate overall purpose, mission and values to ensure teammate alignment and effective execution.Assist with Strategic initiatives up to and including merger related due diligence and post-merger integration activities. Ensure efforts are completed with involvement from all key stakeholders.Serve as a subject matter expert and respond to questions or inquiries concerning policies, procedures, structuring, etc. from auditors, loan review, compliance, and examiners to assist in internal reviews and external examinations. Follow up and correct any items addressed and ensure necessary changes or recommendations have been implemented as directed.Participate in relevant line of business and other meetings to stay informed, collaborate and build strong partnerships in order to achieve the most effective and efficient business resultsStays abreast of market issues and trends, maintains up-to-date knowledge on all Truist credit and lending policies, procedures and regulations.Lead and manage remote teamsQualificationsRequired Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
