Position: Direct Hire Live-In Caregiver / Personal Assistant Pay: $180 per day (Processed Bi-Weekly via APD) Shift: Continuous Weekend Live-In, Thursday 8:00 AM to Sunday 8:00 AM
EMPLOYMENT, TRAINING & COMMITMENT
We are seeking candidates who are truly flexible, compassionate, empathic, and responsible. While previous experience is valuable, NO EXPERIENCE IS STRICTLY REQUIRED—we prioritize candidates with the right temperament and dedication. We are looking for long-term consistency in this role.
This is a direct hire position. The client/family will manage the hiring process and will provide all necessary training to teach the caregiver the client’s specific needs and routines.
The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) reviews and approves the hiring paperwork and processes the bi-weekly payroll.
THE POSITION & SCHEDULE
The caregiver is essential for maintaining the client's stability. Responsibilities involve strictly following a predictable routine, maintaining a healthy, structured environment, and providing complete personal care for a non-verbal adult with autism.
-Pace of Work: This is NOT a fast-paced role. By adhering strictly to the established daily routine, the caregiver will have more guaranteed rest time and breaks throughout the 12-hour active shifts.
-Total ADL Assistance: Full assistance with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and mobility.
-Home Environment Maintenance: Daily sweeping, mopping, and dusting are required to maintain a clean and healthy environment for the client.
-Routine & Consistency: Must be able to follow and maintain the established routine for consistency.
-Continuous Weekend Live-In Shift: Thursday morning (8:00 AM) through Sunday morning (8:00 AM).
-Overnight Safety: Mandatory overnight stay is required due to the client's lack of emergency knowledge.
-Guaranteed Rest: Caregiver is guaranteed 8 hours of uninterrupted rest/personal time each night after the client retires.
CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: HEALTH & MEAL PREPARATION
Due to the client's health, FRESH, HOME-COOKED MEAL PREPARATION IS MANDATORY.
The candidate must be proficient in preparing fresh, healthy meals on-site daily, following this strict schedule:
-Breakfast
-Lunch
-Dinner
-Two separate Snacks (5 total meals/snacks daily)
QUALIFICATIONS & BENEFITS
-Experience: No prior professional experience is strictly required; we will train the right personality.
-References: Work references are required (if applicable). If you have no previous work history, character references will be required.
-NO CNA/License Required.
-Commitment: We require candidates who are seeking a long-term, stable commitment to this specific schedule.
-Background Check: Candidate MUST be able to successfully pass an FBI background check as part of the APD approval process.
-Benefits: Room and Board are provided in the private setting of the client's home during the shift.
