Overview: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will assist electricians with a range of electrical tasks, including maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. Responsibilities: - Conduct electrical work under the supervision of a licensed electrician, following established safety protocols and industry standards. - Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and fuses. - Utilize power tools and equipment, such as drills, saws, and hoists, to complete tasks efficiently. - Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate work execution. - Perform routine inspections and tests to identify potential issues and ensure electrical systems are safe and functional. - Familiarize yourself with National Electric Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. - Assist in the installation of electrical components, including transformers, motors, and switchgear. - Work safely in high-voltage environments and take precautions when working with high-voltage equipment. - Operate electrical test equipment, including ohmmeters and voltmeters, to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues. Skills: - Proficiency with low-voltage electrical systems and high-voltage electrical systems. - Strong understanding of electrical schematics and blueprints. - Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. - Experience with commercial and industrial electrical systems. - Familiarity with power tools and equipment. - Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces. - Basic knowledge of electrical testing and measurement techniques, including the use of an ohmmeter and voltmeter. - Physical stamina to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment. - Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
