The Position,
This full-time role (40 hours per week) is based in Orlando, FL. The Maintenance Supervisor handles repairs and upkeep of the facility’s common areas, including general maintenance repairs, cleaning, minor plumbing, minor electrical, painting, and pressure cleaning. Supervision of others will be required. This is also a role that prioritizes safety.
Responsibilities,
The primary responsibilities include regular property inspections, performing hands-on general maintenance, coordinating other repairs and maintenance with vendors, and ensuring the property is well-cared for. The role involves keeping public areas clean and safe, overseeing external contractors, and following all maintenance and purchasing guidelines, and safety protocols. Additionally, the position requires addressing any property needs through effective troubleshooting. This is also an on-call position for afterhours emergencies. This role requires reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements,
The position requires physical fitness to lift 50-100 lbs. with safety measures, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in confined spaces. The candidate must be adaptable to various weather conditions and capable of walking, climbing stairs, and handling equipment. Effective communication for navigation of the property is essential. The role also involves repetitive hand and wrist motions and the ability to recognize emergency alarms.
Background Requirements,
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least five years of experience in building trades, plumbing, maintenance, or handy work. Must be familiar with the handling of general trade tools and equipment. Good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. The candidate should also be proficient in using email and smartphone devices.
