Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a GIS Analyst located in Sarasota, Florida, 34236, United States. The role involves the analysis, development, implementation, and maintenance of projects, processes, procedures, and systems. The candidate will be working in an e-work/hybrid work environment, eligible to e-work up to 2 days per week after completing the first six months.Responsibilities: Assist and collaborate with higher-level GIS professionals on complex GIS projects Utilize knowledge of GIS theory and concepts in daily tasks Perform GIS analyses using a combination of spatial and tabular data Direct and assist in the creation and maintenance of GIS layers Use advanced technologies like GPS for GIS layer maintenance Assist in building geodatabase structures and schemas Provide technical assistance and guidance to Tier I personnel as required Update and maintain GIS data layers using versioned in an SDE database Create and maintain ArcGIS Online applications and maps Utilize different ArcGIS applications like ArcMap 10+, ArcGIS Pro 2.8+, ArcGIS Survey123 Connect, ArcGIS Suvery123, Collector for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Field Maps. Skills: Proficiency in GIS mapping, GIS - Graphic Information System, GIS databases, GIS data, PGPS, Microsoft SQL.Requirements Proficient in GIS mapping, GIS - Graphic Information System, GIS databases, and GIS data. Demonstrated experience with PGPS and Microsoft SQL. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Systems Analyst role or similar. Ability to conduct system analysis and troubleshoot technical issues. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Knowledge of system development methodologies, project management, and system lifecycle. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts.
