Experienced Hurricane Shutter Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hurricane Shutter Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hurricane shutter installations, repairs, construction site preparation & layouts. This role involves working on various construction sites, utilizing hand/power tools, reading floor plans/schematics, and performing precise installations to ensure safety and durability. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
Install hurricane shutters, metal buildout, layout of jobs according to project specifications and floor plans
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, assemble, and install materials
Read and interpret schematics, floor plans, and technical drawings for accurate installation
Perform preparation & finishing tasks including floor/ground coverings, equipment set up, trim out work & caulking as needed
Ensure all work complies with safety standards, condominium regulations, and building codes
Heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate installation processes
Collaborate with team members on site to complete projects efficiently and accurately
Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout each project
Skills
Extensive experience in hurricane shutter construction, floor plan reading, and schematics interpretation
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and installation techniques
Strong background in hurricane shutter construction site experience including (ladder set ups), (swing stage), (Scaffolding) & (lifts)
Knowledge of hurricane shutter installation
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Skilled in repairing hurricane shutter tubular motor systems
Ability to follow detailed schematics for precise installation tasks
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to various construction environments
