Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the transport industry. Based in West Palm Beach , Florida, this role involves handling financial statement preparation, month-end closings, and special projects. Additionally, the Sr. Accountant will play a critical role in improving processes and preparing for future growth.Responsibilities: Handle preparation of financial statements with precision and efficiency Manage month-end closings, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded Work on special projects, providing financial expertise and insights Utilize strong Excel skills to analyze financial data and create reports Leverage extensive knowledge of large ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, and JD Edwards to manage and analyze financial information Utilize solid General Ledger skills for maintaining and reviewing financial records Conduct financial analysis to provide actionable recommendations for business improvement Work independently to improve processes, making our financial operations more efficient and effective Be ready to take on more responsibilities and grow within the company.Please contact Julie Kirvin @ 561-232-2142 or connect with me on LinkedInRequirements Must possess at least 3 years of experience in a similar role or related field. Proficient in Financial Statement Preparation and Financial Reporting. Strong skills in Financial Analysis and General Ledger. Expertise in using MS Excel for financial tasks and calculations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required. Must demonstrate problem-solving abilities and initiative. Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
