Baker Landscape is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant / Mechanic Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will support daily shop operations, assist with small equipment and trucks, and help keep the shop running efficiently. This is a great opportunity to learn mechanical skills and work alongside experienced mechanics.
Responsibilities:
Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean, orderly shop.
Support inventory tasks: receiving, stocking, and tracking supplies.
Safely operate basic shop tools and equipment, including using an Ohmmeter for electrical testing.
Assist with assembly and preparation tasks with other shop staff.
Provide basic customer service by helping direct customers as needed.
Work collaboratively to complete projects on time and maintain high-quality standards.
Expected to work 40 hours per week, with occasional extra hours for emergency repairs.
Requirements / Skills:
Reliable transportation is a must.
A small toolbox is a plus.
Familiarity with using an Ohmmeter is highly desirable.
Mechanical interest or background preferred.
Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail and good listening skills.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic problem-solving and strong organizational skills.

Baker Landscape está buscando un Asistente de Taller / Ayudante de Mecánico dedicado y detallista para unirse a nuestro equipo. El candidato ideal apoyará las operaciones diarias del taller, ayudará con equipo pequeño y camiones, y contribuirá a mantener el taller funcionando de manera eficiente. Esta es una excelente oportunidad para aprender habilidades mecánicas y trabajar junto a mecánicos experimentados.
Responsabilidades:
Ayudar a organizar y mantener el taller limpio y ordenado.
Apoyar con tareas de inventario: recibir, almacenar y registrar suministros.
Operar de manera segura herramientas y equipos básicos del taller, incluyendo el uso de un óhmetro para pruebas eléctricas.
Ayudar con tareas de ensamblaje y preparación junto al personal del taller.
Brindar servicio al cliente básico, ayudando a responder preguntas y dirigir a los clientes.
Colaborar con el equipo para completar proyectos a tiempo y mantener altos estándares de calidad.
Trabajar 40 horas por semana, con horas adicionales ocasionales para reparaciones de emergencia.
Requisitos / Habilidades:
Debe tener transporte confiable.
Tener una caja de herramientas pequeña es un plus.
Se valora experiencia usando un óhmetro.
Interés o experiencia mecánica preferida.
Capacidad para aprender rápido y seguir instrucciones con precisión.
Buena atención al detalle y habilidades para escuchar.
Buenas habilidades de comunicación.
Capacidad para trabajar de forma independiente y en equipo.
