Job Description:Role Summary/Purpose:The principal responsibility of the Relationship Manager will be to partner with the GM, Client Leaders & Cross Functional teams to drive organic sales growth for small to medium contractual partners in the Home Furnishings market.We're proud to offer you choice and flexibility. Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure program performance & sales goals are met.
Partners with GM and Client Leaders to execute overall strategy & portfolio dynamics to develop and support growth strategies and action plans.
Assures all contractual obligations are being met.
Ability to leverage various channels to influence retail partner to achieve growth goals.
Channels include, but aren't limited to phone, face to face meeting, trade shows, webinars, email and newsletters.
Help maintain competitive information and optimize how we differentiate vs. the competition.
Ability to work effectively in a highly cross functional environment with other departments such as Marketing, IT, Risk, Operations & Training to support business objectives.
Proactively identify areas of opportunity to develop & improve client relationships as well as sell the value of our business services (Synchrony Connect).
Coordinate portfolio performance reviews w/ client.
Provide value added analysis & reporting to client to evaluate & drive program performance.
Work with Merchant Experience Sales Support team to resolve day-to-day escalated/ad hoc client and sales requests.
Continually promote and apply Synchrony Financial Values, acting as a role model for integrity.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent work experience.
2+ years' experience in sales and/or marketing roles managing or running a consumer finance or PLCC program or portfolio either from bank or retailer side of business.
2+ years' experience in either client management or retail management.
Desired Characteristics:
Demonstrated prior experience involving contract negotiations, competitive pricing, business planning and P&L management.
Strong sales, marketing, creative and analytical skills
Proven ability to influence corporate decision makers, strong negotiating skills
Ability to demonstrate innovation and creative approaches to business needs
Proven ability to work remotely and independently.
Demonstrated ability to leverage the Dimension of Professional Selling model to identify client gaps and successfully sell in Synchrony solutions to achieve the Preferred Position.
Ability to work efficiently within our CRM solution to manage the relationship, drive, and document progress towards growth initiatives, analyze client performance and create client facing presentations for performance reviews.
Ability to conduct in-depth sales presentations, including product demonstrations that highlight key benefits, ROI and the value of our solutions and services.
Organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Grade/Level: 11The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
