We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.How does the test department play into the big picture?Any equipment that is manufactured in our facility ends in the hands of our testers. Our job as test engineers is to ensure that the equipment they need to perform their work is running and running properly. We enable others to do their work!What you will do…· Learn about our standard processes and our test equipment· Gain insight into electrical equipment and what it takes to keep it running· Troubleshoot equipment that is not working properly· Develop new processes and commission new equipment· Work with project managers, engineers, and manufacturing experts to learn about the entire lifecycle of a project through shadowing and the assignment of relevant tasks to build up your practical knowledge.· Interface with different areas of the business and learn about how collaboration drives successCritical Capabilities :· Resourcefulness· Problem solving· Communicating technical concepts· Collaborative mindset· Ability to work independently as neededBasic Qualifications:· Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or similar from an accredited college or university· Legal authorization to work in the US is required· Must reside or go to school near internship location (Alpharetta)Preferred Qualifications· Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0· Previous internship experience or relevant school projects· Strong communication skills - verbal and written· Ability to work on a team· Interest in learning about the rail industry - project management, customer service operations, manufacturing, etc.The hourly pay range for this position is $22 - $26 per hour, based off your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
